Secretary General of the AIPPI visited
Seoul on March 14 & 15, 2003
Mr. Vincenzo M. Pedrazzini, Secretary
General of the AIPPI visited Seoul from March
14 to 15, 2003 to check preparatory works for
the 2003 EXCO/FORUM.
On his two- day visit, Mr. Pedrazzini inspected
the venues for the EXCO/FORUM: Coex Convention
Center, Coex Inter-Continental, Oakwood Hotel,
Hotel Lotte World, and the Grand Inter-Continental.
He also had a meeting with the Organizing Committee
members for the 2003 event.
At the meeting, Mr. Pedrazzini and the members
of the organizing Committee discussed the preparations
for the 2003 EXCO/FORUM and shared their opinions
and concerns on the current international situation
and their possible impact on EXCO/ FORUM participation.

2003 AIPPI /APAA /LES Korea Joint
meeting will be held on April 18, 2003
The 12th Joint Seminar and Networking
meeting of AIPPI-KOREA, APAA-KOREA, and LES-KOREA
will be held on April 18th 2003 at a downtown hotel,
Towel Hotel. The meeting is designed to strengthen
ties between the members of each group as well as
the three groups. In addition, the meeting will
be a chance to hear guest speakers deliver two lectures
on the group's common interest. The meeting is also
expected to advance each member's knowledge.

AIPPI Korea plans a seminar to celebrate the 38th
Invention Month in May, 2003
The AIPPI-Korea will plan a seminar concerning the
protection of intellectual property on Thursday,
May 22, 2003, at the Korean Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (KCCI). The seminar is designed to
celebrate the 38th Invention Month. The seminar,
hosted in conjunction with FICPI Korea, will invite
not only AIPPI/FICPI-Korea members but also corporate
members.
The seminar will cover three major topics: "Recent
International trends on intellectual property protection";
"Traditional culture under the protection of
new Intellectual Property" "Introduction
of the 3rd AIPPI World Intellectual Property Forum"
which will take place from October 10th to 12th,
2003 at the Coex Convention Center, Seoul.
The Organizing Committee for the 2003 EXCO / FORUM
had a meeting on March 8th, 2003 at a village in
Namyangjoo city.
The Organizing Committee for the 2003 EXCO /FORUM
had an unofficial meeting on Saturday, March 8th,
2003 at a village in Namyangjoo city. The purpose
of the meeting was to promote mutual friendship
between the members of the committee and settle
some pending issues, prior to visit of Mr. Vincenzo
M. Pedrazzini, Secretary General of the AIPPI. The
meeting discussed the preparatory plans for the
2003 EXCO / FORUM and finalized AIPPI Secretary
General's schedule. In addition, the committee discussed
various issues on the operation and management of
AIPPI-Korea for the year, 2003.

the unofficial meeting at a village in Namyangjoo
city
