AIPPI
KOREA, in cooperation with neighboring national
Groups of Japan and China, annually hold the Joint
meeting of "AIPPI Big Three in Asian Region".
The Third Joint meeting of the " AIPPI Big
Three in Asian Region' will be held on 10-12
October 2002 at Westin Chosun, Seoul, Korea.

This meeting
is the first of its Kind to be hosted by Korea following
the successful first and second meetings that were
respectively held in October 2000 by the Japanese
chapter in Tokyo,and during November 2001 by the
Chinese chapter in Beijing.

During these
meetings, representatives from each of the groups
present topics of interest for discussion amongst
the three countries.
|
|
The major
topics of the October meeting are (1) Advantages
and Disadvantages of Centralization of Jurisdiction
on Intellectual Property Cases, and (2) The Impact
to the Amendment of the Trademark Act(s) for Accession
to the Madrid Protocol.
